SYRACUSE, New York – As part of Hilton’s global week of service, Bob McSweeney, the General Manager of the Hilton Garden Inn in Syracuse, New York, and the hotel’s department heads volunteered at the Samaritan Center.  The Samaritan Center feeds two meals a day for anyone in need, usually between 150-300 people, and also offers the ‘closet’ every Thursday to give away bath and personal care items.  The staff of the Hilton Garden Inn Syracuse helped expedite an early dinner for almost 200 people in two hours and then swept and mopped the entire facility prior to leaving.  The featured buffet item was fish tacos.  The staff also brought 150 soaps, shampoos, toilet paper, toothpaste and toothbrushes which they helped to distribute.  Bob McSweeney described it as “a lot of work but a lot of fun for a good cause.”
