Exciting news from Hilton Garden Inn Wallingford! We’re thrilled to welcome Kathleen Gosselin and Cara Colacurcio to our team as our new General Manager and Director of Sales respectively. With their leadership, we’re poised for great success.
Kathleen’s journey in the hospitality industry began with humble roots, starting as a Restaurant Manager, and later delving into roles such as Catering Sales Manager, Convention Sales Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing, Director of Catering, and ultimately General Manager. Each role brought its own unique challenges and rewards, fueling her passion for this dynamic industry.
After years of dedicated service in various leadership positions, she decided to take the leap and start her own company, Gosselin Hospitality ECS, LLC. Here, she has been efficiently managing small independent hotels and franchises with tailored strategies, optimizing operations, and enhancing guest experiences. Alongside hospitality management, she also extended her services to include real estate and notary public services, catering to the diverse needs of her clients.
With a solid foundation in Business and Hotel/Restaurant Management from the University of Scranton, coupled with hands-on experience and a relentless drive for excellence, she is ready to bring fresh perspectives and innovative strategies to Hilton Garden Inn Wallingford.
But beyond the boardrooms and spreadsheets, Kathleen believes in living life to the fullest. When she is not busy making dreams come true for guests and clients, you’ll likely find her exploring new places, hiking, sledding, or enjoying serene fishing trips with her husband on their boat with their furry companions, or nurturing her little green oasis at home.
Cara brings 15 years of rich hospitality experience to our team. She launched her career as a Banquet & Event Manager and Restaurant Manager while earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality & Tourism from Central Connecticut State University. Cara began her hotel journey at Hilton as a Sales Coordinator and further honed her skills as a Sales Manager at Hyatt hotels. This experience paved the way for her first Director of Sales role at the Hilton Garden Inn Wallingford.
Outside of work, Cara is a dedicated mother to her two children, Noah and Lily, ages 6 and 4, who share her love for outdoor play and swimming. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, and practicing yoga.
