Team Emerald raised $9,845.00 in support of the American Lung Association as they participated in the 34th annual Trek Across Maine over the weekend of June 15-17, 2018. The event featured 1,200 bicyclists and 600 volunteers as they biked 180 miles over three days from Bethel, Maine to Belfast, Maine. This year’s team had 12 riders representing Team Emerald. With the support of the Emerald Foundation matching funds of $250 per rider, the team was able to raise $9,845.00 in support of clean air for everyone. The entire event raised over one million dollars for the American Lung Association this year. Team Emerald enjoyed gorgeous weather as they biked through the hills of western Maine to the ocean, stopping at rest stops along the way with enough peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to satisfy everyone.
