It is our pleasure to introduce Terry Hix as the new Director of Sales at the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Waco-Woodway, Texas.
Terry brings a wealth of hospitality experience, both as a seller and a buyer, to our Emerald Hospitality Associates Revenue Generation team. He started his hospitality career in 2003 in San Antonio, TX where he learned and worked for a variety of different brands including Hilton and IHG as well as private branded properties. He is particularly fond of the time he served as Director of Sales at the historic St. Anthony Hotel – a 400+ room hotel with over 45,000 SF of meeting space. This historic hotel is just steps from the Riverwalk in San Antonio and he is proud of his many accomplishments at this property. Most recently, Terry has been on the Meeting Planner side of our business where he worked closely with customers to plan their meetings from start to finish all over the world.
Although he was born in Benton, Arkansas, Terry spent most of his life in Texas and grew up in the Austin area. He attended the University of Texas and is an avid college sports fan. His Saturdays always begin with Game Day during football season. He also loves the outdoors as a camper and hiker, and he has a passion for grilling.
